Tour de Java

Even just a few cities, feel great to come back to my hometown...
Flied by Batavia Airlines, Boeing 737 landing smoothly at Ahmad Yani Airport Semarang, Friday morning 26 March 2009 8.00 am. My sister with her husband Djarot and his daughter Nita picked me up...and directly take a dreamy breakfast 'sego ayam' ..hmm...just perfect...my wife also enjoy it.

Not so progressively change, i still can feel the atmosphere of Semarang city...not so crowded...life is easy..and ya....so many place to eat...sego ayam .. soto ayam...soto sapi...lumpia...etc.

Hill area .. yes..quite a lot of changes here...feel that rich people try to find a good place for a house at Candi area up to Ungaran...this is the cool weather area...nice to have a house with a good view of hills and mountain. We were travelled along this road when we go to Temanggung city to meet with Harry the masseur.

Temanggung is a small village actually, where Harry stay there. We have appointment with him to check my finger and overall health. He is expert on reflexologie theraphy.

Back from Temanggung, we went to Gedono. Gedono recognize as a unique chatolic sanctuary designed by Romo Mangunwijaya a wellknown art, social and culture expert. Gedono located near a small village Salatiga. There are some building over there. Church, sanctuary, and souvenir shop. The architecture of the building is unique, natural, and decorative.

Back to Semarang by night, again we plan to find 'wedang kacang' .. boiled white bean, green bean, pour with ginger taste...hmm...long time has never meet this kind of baverage.

Day two,
went to Muntilan, if you know Borobudur temple...yes..this is the small village where Borobudur stand there. Again we meet Harry...one more shoot...uh...very hard....but i am sure...it can help to refresh our body metabolism.

Finish with that all things of therapy, i and my wife go directly to Purwokerto. It is not easy to find a transporter from Magelang to Purwokerto...we have to order from Semarang...and catch the car at Coffee Eva at Ambarawa.....coffee Eva is my childhood recreation destination, from this point of view...we can see Rawapening, famous lake ... and beautiful mountain of Ungaran.

Really late arrived at Purwokerto, so tired....and sleep...

Day three,
Breakfast with 'gudeg pereng' clean and soft ... with boiled egg.
And continue the journey to the cemetery of our rest in peace beloved grandma, father, and uncle.
Ajibarang is the next destination, where our auntie and uncle stay there.
This is the small village...where people still farming chicken, bird, rice..
From there...we take a break .. get lunch at 'cahaya baru' ancience chineese restaurant special serving noodles. Hmmm....quite nice...but don't eat to much...

Sokaraja...small town near Purwokerto, where getuk goreng is all "ASLI"... there you are...
but I try to find a painter.....and finally meet with Pak Firman , a man behind 'Perkutut" bird ...wow .. fantastic...he has about more than 200 birds...
Rather than that, his daughter is a painter....and he also collect some painting from famous painter from Yogya...I got some name from him.

Night passing by...
my wife school mates gathered ... looks very happy...they share each other.. it's about 10 people together with their families...

Finally we reached 11 pm...where train to Jakarta...Dwipangga...arrived at The Station.
Then...back home at 5 am in the morning...long way home still empty...
